What does the “« Allez tous ensemble »” meme mean?
This meme exploits the marching cadence and solemn intonation of the final remark to create a comedic or ironically solemn effect. Creators detach the formula from its original political context to apply it to absurd, daily, or dramatic situations. The dominant emotion is often exaggerated solemnity: it conveys a desire to unify or initiate action, but transposed into a quirky frame. The rhythm serves as visual and auditory punctuation, transforming a closing word into a cue for starting or ending any type of video montage.
Where does the “« Allez tous ensemble »” meme come from?
The meme originates from an official speech by French MEP Raphaël Glucksmann, recorded at the European Parliament in June 2026. During his intervention, the politician ends his address with a punchy line: "let's all go together, long live France!", delivered with marked emphasis and an insistent tone. Immediately after this clip spread on social media, users isolated this ending to extract its rhythmic potential. Within hours, the clip was remixed, cut, and integrated into various video formats. The virality relies on the simplicity of the vocal gesture: a call for collective action that, once decontextualized, can be applied to any group, animal, or object, offering a solid base for visual and audio humor without requiring deep political understanding.
