What does the “Amine chokbar” meme mean?
This meme captures an immediate and exaggerated reaction of astonishment. The core emotion is shock at something unexpected, often in a quirky context. Using the associated slang expression, internet users highlight their surprise at a sudden revelation. It’s a playful way to say one is completely overwhelmed by events, without aggression.
Where does the “Amine chokbar” meme come from?
The phenomenon centers on Amine, a content creator collaborating with Billy to film visits to abandoned places in France. The duo regularly broadcast urban exploration livestreams before stopping their activity in August 2023, citing growing popularity as the main reason. The precise viral sequence remains unidentified by sources: no exact publication date, official title, or confirmed platform allows pinpointing the chronological origin of the clip. The expression “chokbar de bz” emerged among young adults starting in summer 2023. “Chokbar” derives from “shocked” with a familiar suffix, while “bz” abbreviates “baisé” to intensify the feeling. This linguistic combination quickly gained traction in digital exchanges to qualify a state of bewilderment.
