Where does the “Les chips barbecue, c'est des chips à faire au barbecue !” meme come from?
The scene comes from Les Anges de la téléréalité, season 5, broadcast in 2013: Aurélie comments on a bag of crisps mid-errand. It left the show through the zapping format, which isolated it as a few-second extract, and that is the form in which it has circulated ever since. The PublicTV zapping cited on the card is how audiences met the line, rather than the episode itself — like many reality-TV quotes, the meme lives on the clip and not its context.
