People use it for a two-person routine, total chemistry between friends, or two people who react at the exact same moment.

Where does the “Double logobi” meme come from?

Logobi is an urban dance and music style that appeared in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, in the 1980s, especially in working-class areas such as Abobo. It borrows combat and martial arts gestures, and some sources credit John Pololo with codifying it. In the late 2000s and early 2010s it took off among young people of West African descent in the Paris suburbs, with crews facing off in metro stations, train stations and shopping centres. The French version blends coupé-décalé, tecktonik and Belgian hard-tech. Logobi GT, formed in Champigny-sur-Marne, helped bring it to a wider audience. It is sometimes nicknamed the “big arms dance”. Social media and video platforms later revived it.
