What does the “Et PAF ça fait des Chocapic” meme mean?
“PAF!” imitates a sharp smack, the instant something happens. On its own the phrase underlines an immediate, slightly absurd result: one small gesture, and an unexpected outcome appears. It also carries nostalgia for childhood breakfasts and morning ads. People use it to joke about a fall, a stroke of luck or a sudden transformation.
Where does the “Et PAF ça fait des Chocapic” meme come from?
The line comes from a commercial for Chocapic cereals, a Nestlé brand. Several of the brand's spots aired on French television from the 1990s, and the tagline stuck with a whole generation of viewers.
