What does the “Fibus le pingouin” meme mean?
Fibus pairs a normally cute animal with a very human flaw, drinking, and the clash is absurd. He stands for someone in total disarray, a rough morning after a party, or a wish to stop taking anything seriously. The character also works as a warped fairy tale: a penguin whose adventures no hero would want. People cite him among friends to tease an excess, illustrate chaos, or share a reference only fans of Thomas Deseur will get.
Where does the “Fibus le pingouin” meme come from?
According to the card, Fibus is an iconic character of Thomas Deseur, imagined as an alcoholic penguin. Clips of his adventures circulate online under titles such as “Les Aventures de Fibus le Pingouin”. Pulled out of context, those passages turned into shared references among French-speaking internet users. The character is now part of the folklore of those inside jokes.

The “Fibus le pingouin” card was reprinted as Epic (No. 4,142). A reprint is the same meme printed again, with a number of its own and a higher rarity than its first printing, which was rare. Its face reads “Reprinted card · Higher rarity”.
Every printing is dealt in the packs of the Memes FR pack, each at its own rarity: the higher it is, the rarer the card is to pull. Copies of the first printing already pulled stay as they are, and any printing counts toward completing a set.
