What does the “Damiens Driving Instructor” meme mean?
The scene stands for the nightmare driving teacher: moody, in bad faith, swinging with no warning from clipped orders to theatrical irritation. As a meme, it describes any moment when someone in authority is unfair and unpredictable while a stunned learner takes it all. People post it about a grumpy boss, an examiner, or a rigid teacher, and about blatant bad faith in general. The laughter comes from the gap between the calm of the victim and the excess of the character.
