In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “LE MINOTAURE” is an epic card of the Memes FR pack, number 1990 of the collection, and the 753rd best-known meme of its 3496 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “LE MINOTAURE” meme mean?
The meme rests on a pun: “ASMR” and “Minotaur” merge into “Asminautor”. It raises a smile through the contrast between the horned beast of legend and the softness of ASMR videos, built on whispers and calming sounds. Fans use it to praise a clever channel name, tease a content creator, or describe a big, burly person who whispers. The all-caps title, “LE MINOTAURE”, sounds like a solemn announcement, which sharpens the punchline.
Where does the “LE MINOTAURE” meme come from?
The Minotaur is a creature from Greek mythology, half man and half bull. Here it serves as the base for a channel name: that of ASMR creator Asterion, called ASMinotauR, who posts tapping, role-play and trading card showcase videos on YouTube. The channel's pun, also spelled “Asminautor”, plays on how close the acronym ASMR sits to the word Minotaur. The capital R in the middle of “ASMinotauR” echoes the genre's initials.

The reprint of the “LE MINOTAURE” card
The “LE MINOTAURE” card was reprinted as Legendary (No. 3,279). A reprint is the same meme printed again, with a number of its own and a higher rarity than its first printing, which was epic. Its face reads “Reprinted card · Higher rarity”.
Every printing is dealt in the packs of the Memes FR pack, each at its own rarity: the higher it is, the rarer the card is to pull. Copies of the first printing already pulled stay as they are, and any printing counts toward completing a set.
MyMemeCards reprints a meme when it deserves more than the rarity of its first printing, such as a classic that became iconic after it came out: the reprint gives it a place among the most sought-after cards without taking anything from the players who already had it.
