Where does the “The silly hose” meme come from?
Spanish dubbing comic Loulogio, known for his comic redubs of adverts, takes on a TV shopping advert for a garden hose presented as revolutionary, turning it into a comic disaster scene with absurd new dialogue. This parody fits into a Spanish tradition of mocking infomercials with excessive promises, and the invented name of the hose has since remained a standalone comic reference, detached from the original advert.
