What does the “Vlad Borshch” meme mean?

It is also a banner for remix fans: the video material was dubbed, cut and reworked in countless ways by users.
Where does the “Vlad Borshch” meme come from?
The meme dates to 2009 and comes from the Runet, the Russian-language internet. It stems from a video address, hence the title referring to a filmed message spoken to the camera by someone named Vlad Borshch. Users picked it up in remixes, dubs and edits, which turned it into recurring raw material for Russian-speaking amateur creation. The directness of speaking straight into the lens lends itself well to being twisted.
