In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “Snus Eater” is a common card of the Russian Memes pack, number 180 of the collection, and the 132nd best-known meme of its 300 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “Snus Eater” meme mean?
The meme is built around a blurry character, often masked or filmed to hide his face, paired with two very Russian items: snus, a chewable nicotine pouch, and Tula gingerbread, a traditional pastry. The absurdity of pairing a controversial modern product with an old-fashioned treat fuels a small video mythology where this character becomes a recurring hero of offbeat content.
Where does the “Snus Eater” meme come from?
Snus Eater: Tula Gingerbread has circulated on the Runet since 2021, tagged by the card as a Runet-format meme for that year. The character, filmed masked in short videos, pairs snus consumption with Tula gingerbread, a well-known traditional Russian pastry, for a deliberately offbeat effect. No specific channel or video has been confirmed as the exact origin beyond this 2021 Runet framing; the character later inspired other masked videos reusing this unlikely mix of food and everyday products.
