MISTER V - LE PERMIS DE CONDUIRE (Mister V)In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “Nicolas” is a common card of the Memes FR pack, number 4035 of the collection, and the 753rd best-known meme of its 3502 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “Nicolas” meme mean?
People use it to greet someone named Nicolas with overstated politeness, slightly unsettling for being so nice. The offer of chewing gum, ordinary and out of place, builds a comic unease: why offer that now? The meme serves as a teasing welcome in a group, a reply to a Nicolas’s message, or a wink when a conversation turns odd. It plays on the contrast between the sweetness of the sentence and the setting.
Where does the “Nicolas” meme come from?
The line “Bonjour Nicolas, tu veux des chewing-gums ?” comes from a clip that the French-speaking community replayed endlessly. The very polite, almost childlike tone won people over, and it fits every Nicolas around. The meme traveled by screenshots, voice notes and messages, with variants swapping the name or the candy. Its strength is simplicity: a greeting, a question, a small pack of gum, and the scene sticks in the memory of whoever hears it.
