In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “18 Pounds of Cokane” is a common card of the Memes World series 75, number 22225 of the collection, and the 88th best-known meme of its 300 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “18 Pounds of Cokane” meme mean?
This phrase expresses dark humor and absurdity through shock value. It juxtaposes the official, wholesome image of Princess Celestia with an explicit request for illicit substances and sexual services. The deliberate misspellings ("cokane", "crake") reinforce the unhinged nature. The meme relies on total incongruity: one does not expect this character to utter such vulgar words. It is used to illustrate behavior that is completely out of place or shocking, often in a parody context.
Where does the “18 Pounds of Cokane” meme come from?
The meme originates from a fan comic titled *master chief and luna hanging out*, published on DeviantArt by user thet7770ify between 2012 and 2015. In the relevant panel, Princess Celestia asks the character Shining Armor to procure "18 pounds of cokane, 12 pounds of crake and 7 male stripers." She further specifies that none should be white to better visualize the cocaine. The deliberate spelling errors and the shocking nature of the request quickly made this line cult status within the MLP:FiM community. The exact creation date remains unknown as the author later deactivated their account. However, the panel was already circulating widely on Tumblr by January 2015 via a viral post. There is no audiovisual origin; everything rests on this specific fan comic.
