What does the “On vise le sommet” meme mean?
The phrase comes out when a question is too direct or too accurate and the answer dodges it with panache. Saying “we aim for the top” dresses up an ordinary, even awkward situation as a bold ambition. The most quoted example is the bathroom-scale question: stepping on it hoping the number will be lower. The humor comes from the contrast between the solemn wording and the mundane topic. It is mostly used among friends, in writing or out loud.

The line circulates as an audio clip reposted in YouTube videos, where it is presented as a French-language meme. It answers a question along the lines of “have you ever weighed yourself thinking the number on the scale would be lower?”. The assured tone of the reply, borrowing the vocabulary of conquest, turned the excerpt into a ready-made line for edits and comments.
