Where does the “One Thicc Bih” meme come from?
The first known occurrence dates to late May 2017, though the exact day remains uncertain. The initial video uses Ditty.it, an app turning text into songs. It features Mr. Krabs from *SpongeBob SquarePants*, labeled as "one thicc bih." The creator is presumed to be an anonymous Californian teen who posted on Tumblr, though sources vary on the platform and identity. "Thicc" denotes generous curves, while "bih" is a slang spelling of bitch. Its success stems from contrasting this language with innocent figures, enhanced by "-ussy" puns.
