What does the “Shrek 2 Trumpet Fanfare” meme mean?
This format relies on audio substitution for comedic effect. By replacing the original soundtrack with a popular song, remix, or absurd sound, creators highlight a mismatch between visual context and audio. The messenger's reaction, hitting Reggie with papers while saying 'Enough, Reggie,' serves as a punchline indicating that the action is too much, awkward, or simply funny. Users apply this template to emphasize excessive behavior or unexpected twists.
Where does the “Shrek 2 Trumpet Fanfare” meme come from?
The scene comes from the 2004 animated film *Shrek 2*, directed by Andrew Adamson and Kelly Asbury. Set in Far Far Away, royal musicians play a fanfare as a messenger arrives.
