In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “Si tu es blonde, à forte poitrine...” is a rare card of the Memes FR pack, number 2541 of the collection, and the 753rd best-known meme of its 3514 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “Si tu es blonde, à forte poitrine...” meme mean?
The line pushes the cliché of the heavy-handed, slightly pathetic suitor to the extreme. The final “aussi” (“too”) is what lands: the character tacks on his criteria as if nothing were odd. People quote it to mock an over-specific personal ad, an inappropriate request or plain lack of tact. The laugh comes from the character’s naive delivery and distinctive voice rather than from the words alone, which is why imitations are so common.
Where does the “Si tu es blonde, à forte poitrine...” meme come from?
The line comes from “Les petites annonces”, sketches by French comedian Élie Semoun, in which he plays Cyprien, a man dictating dating ads over the phone. The sketches were released as a DVD box set. On YouTube, clips such as “Elie Semoun recherche blonde à forte poitrine…” and “Cyprien: vous êtes blonde à forte poitrine?” have circulated for years. The phrase was then pulled out, imitated and recycled as a joke about botched flirting, far beyond the original sketch.
