In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “Lee superposé” is a rare card of the Memes FR pack, number 5434 of the collection, and the 753rd best-known meme of its 3493 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “Lee superposé” meme mean?
The joke hinges on sound: “Lee super posé” is pronounced much like “lit superposé,” or “bunk bed” in French. The caption stays the same as the video shows the convertible sofa unfolding into bunk beds. It turns a simple furniture demonstration into an intentionally silly wordplay. The source does not identify anyone named Lee; the name is simply part of the pun.
Where does the “Lee superposé” meme come from?
The meme is linked to a video posted by Koreus on September 24, 2018. It shows a convertible sofa made by the Italian brand Pozzi Divani changing into bunk beds. The caption plays on “Lee super posé,” which sounds like the French phrase “lit superposé.” The same wording therefore fits both configurations shown in the clip. The available source does not identify the speaker or say that the footage came from a television show. It also provides no evidence of an earlier publication or of the clip spreading on other platforms. The documented origin is limited to the Koreus post and the pun accompanying its furniture demonstration.
