Contrôle de stupéfiants au volant « confiant » (Maichten)In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “Confiant” is an epic card of the Memes FR pack, number 2268 of the collection, and the 753rd best-known meme of its 3496 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “Confiant” meme mean?
The meme plays on the gap between what is said and what is known. On camera, the answer is calm, almost professional. Behind the scenes, the confession flips everything and the contrast gets the laugh. People post “confident” to comment on groundless self-assurance: a student who skipped revision and swears the exam will go fine, a colleague sure of himself before an unprepared presentation, a friend promising not to be late. The single word is enough to tease a front of certainty with a knowing wink.
Where does the “Confiant” meme come from?
The scene described on the card is simple: a man is asked whether the check will go well, replies “of course, confident”, and, once the camera is off, admits he consumed something that very morning. The effect comes from the two-step edit, with the relaxed answer followed by the off-camera admission. The word “confident”, delivered flatly, stuck as the part worth quoting and captioning. Like many short lines, it is shared as a screenshot or clip and reused in comment sections to tease someone with no reason to feel calm.
