In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “Guzz Goo-Zee-Goo” is a common card of the Memes FR pack, number 2096 of the collection, and the 753rd best-known meme of its 3493 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “Guzz Goo-Zee-Goo” meme mean?
The meme celebrates the silliest dance imaginable, performed without any restraint. It expresses the joy of being ridiculous, the bond of absurd jokes between friends and nostalgia for a do-it-yourself YouTube where people had fun over nothing. People use it to mock or salute a botched choreography, to start a slightly embarrassing group dance at a party, or to go with a moment of shameless letting go. The nonsense refrain sticks without effort, which makes it easy to repeat and twist in videos, edits and chats.
Where does the “Guzz Goo-Zee-Goo” meme come from?
The original video, “GUZZ GOO-ZEE-GOO (Original Porto version)”, was posted on the Guzz Productions channel. In its description, the author says he hesitated to publish it and wanted to stop others from claiming it. It was then picked up by other creators, for instance Sparttakus and Gizmi, who made their own version, and as a ten-minute loop. The channel also posted other videos with Porto, such as “Danse pour moi, Porto” on the game Darwin Project. The meme’s name comes from the refrain sung in the clip, repeated endlessly by fans who turned it into a password for absurd humour.
