In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “Jordi” is a common card of the Memes FR pack, number 2094 of the collection, and the 753rd best-known meme of its 3495 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “Jordi” meme mean?
Jordi embodies confident clumsiness: a man tackling a new trade with total seriousness and lines that jar. The comedy comes from the gap between the tone of an ordinary career-change candidate and the very particular field he is aiming for. People quote the character to mock someone who takes a new project far too solemnly, or just to get a laugh from a twisted line in contexts that have nothing to do with the original subject.
Where does the “Jordi” meme come from?
Jérôme Commandeur, born on 12 April 1976 in Argenteuil, is a French comedian, actor, impressionist and director. He first got noticed in the late 1990s on the show Graines de star, then built a career in stage, radio, television and film, from Bienvenue chez les Ch’tis to Asterix and Obelix: The Middle Kingdom. His 2024 television credits include Le Monde magique de Jérôme Commandeur, a parody sketch show on Canal+ in which he plays many characters. Jordi is one of them, in a sketch where he presents himself as a man retraining for the adult film business. One of his very blunt lines was clipped out and shared.

How to get the “Jordi” card
Every pack holds 5 meme cards, the first 3 of them Common; Jordi comes out of the Memes FR pack as a common card. The pack odds say what each rarity weighs.
Your first pack is free and needs no account. After that a new free pack lands every 10 minutes, up to 3 waiting for you. You can also buy the card with MemeCoins on the market, bid for it at auction, or trade it — and a double recycles into 5 MemeCoins.
The reprint of the “Jordi” card
The “Jordi” card was reprinted as Rare (No. 2,375). A reprint is the same meme printed again, with a number of its own and a higher rarity than its first printing, which was common. Its face reads “Reprinted card · Higher rarity”.
Every printing is dealt in the packs of the Memes FR pack, each at its own rarity: the higher it is, the rarer the card is to pull. Copies of the first printing already pulled stay as they are, and any printing counts toward completing a set.
MyMemeCards reprints a meme when it deserves more than the rarity of its first printing, such as a classic that became iconic after it came out: the reprint gives it a place among the most sought-after cards without taking anything from the players who already had it.
