Where does the “"J'AIME QUAND ON M'ENDUIS D'HUILE !"” meme come from?
OSS 117 is a French parody spy film franchise directed by Michel Hazanavicius, starring Jean Dujardin, which spoofs the codes of 1950s-1960s spy films with deadpan, self-aware humor. The character's lines, often absurdly off-topic yet delivered with unshakable seriousness, gave rise to many cult quotes that still circulate online. The line about getting oiled up, delivered during a massage scene, perfectly captures that tone: a shameless confession of pleasure that clashes with the usual seriousness of the spy genre OSS 117 parodies.
- 2006Release of "OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies," the first film in the franchise directed by Michel Hazanavicius, starring Jean Dujardin.
