What does the “jvais faire un lance pierre avec mon slip” meme mean?
The line stretches the police’s logic to the absurd: if gloves can help someone pick up stones, then any piece of clothing could become a weapon, even underwear turned into a slingshot. It expresses exasperation and sarcasm toward a rule that seems ridiculous. People quote it when a ban looks excessive, when a check goes too far, or to answer with irony someone who sees danger everywhere. The tone is mocking frustration, made funnier by the image of underwear put to unexpected use.
Where does the “jvais faire un lance pierre avec mon slip” meme come from?
According to the card’s description, the scene shows a filmed arrest in which riot police (CRS) decide to confiscate a man’s gloves, claiming he could use them to pick up stones. Annoyed, the man replies that they should also take his underwear, since it could serve as a slingshot. The retort spread as short videos with titles along the lines of “Mon slip aussi je peux faire un lance pierre avec”, reposted on YouTube. It stuck as a quotable line for poking fun at an over-the-top instruction.
