Where does the “Rahan Gaetan” meme come from?

Rahan, fils des âges farouches is a French comic series first published on 24 February 1969 in the first issue of Pif Gadget. Written by Roger Lécureux and drawn by André Chéret, it follows the adventures of a hero in an imaginary prehistory, dressed in an animal-skin loincloth, armed with an ivory knife and wearing a necklace of five claws. The meme ties that character to Gaetan and his line about animal skins, as echoed by an online video titled “gaetan vs rahan” whose caption mentions spending New Year’s Eve outdoors to get into Rahan’s skin.
