In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “Michou’s cheese” is a rare card of the Memes FR pack, number 2137 of the collection, and the 753rd best-known meme of its 3493 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “Michou’s cheese” meme mean?
The line imitates an operatic Italian accent to announce, with great ceremony, a cheese belonging to Michou. The comedy comes from the made-up word “zigounetti” and the solemn tone. Fans quote it to tease an over-the-top presentation, to caption a cheese board, or to slip a nod to the YouTuber into a conversation. It stays light: an in-joke repeated like a chorus, mostly funny when spoken aloud or placed under a screenshot.
Where does the “Michou’s cheese” meme come from?
Michou is a French YouTuber known for gaming videos and challenges, including a Cheese Challenge in which cheeseburgers are compared. The cheese attached to his name fed commentary videos on YouTube, with channels discussing its sale and the community’s reactions. The card quotes the garbled line “El fromagio de zigounetti de Michou”, in which the exaggerated Italian accent and the invented word do all the work. Users then shared it as an extract, a caption and a chat message, and it now works as a wink between people who know the YouTuber’s world.
