What does the “Mon teint il est glassy” meme mean?
“Glassy” points to glass skin, a skincare trend from Korean cosmetics promising a smooth, luminous complexion. The meme plays on the gap between that promise and reality: a face that shines because it is sweating. People use it to mock overconfidence, to caption a photo taken in the heat, or to joke their way out of looking sweaty.
Where does the “Mon teint il est glassy” meme come from?
“Glass skin” describes smooth, luminous skin, popularized by Korean skincare routines. The card borrows that world in a French phrasing, “Mon teint il est glassy”, followed by the line “c’est pas de la sueur”. The contrast makes the joke, which shows up in captions, short videos and comments where someone insists on a perfect complexion despite appearances.
