Where does the “CP Rap” meme come from?
The original video was filmed at Jules Ferry School in Sallanches, Haute-Savoie, by teachers Antoine Stroebel and Olga Lavroff with their CP class. Children rap about learning to read, write, and calculate while wearing caps sideways. The contrast between their serious interpretation and young age drove its success. The video was uploaded to YouTube on June 14, 2012, titled « LE RAP des CP ». A Dailymotion upload is also recorded for September 11, 2014. It was originally a pedagogical project and end-of-year production, not a real hardcore rap single.
