In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “Ok, Tchuligom” is a rare card of the German Memes pack, number 156 of the collection, and the 39th best-known meme of its 300 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “Ok, Tchuligom” meme mean?
People use the line to poke fun at a confusing message or a deal between private sellers that goes sideways. It gets dropped when someone answers off-topic, makes up a word, or agrees to an offer that makes no sense. It works like a knowing laugh at a buy-and-sell chat gone wrong, and it is usually quoted exactly as written, typos included, to keep its accidental comedy intact.
Where does the “Ok, Tchuligom” meme come from?
The line comes from a message exchange between a buyer and a seller on a German online classifieds platform. Its charm sits in the odd spelling of the word "Tchuligom", which reads like a garbled version of a more common term, whether on purpose or not. In 2018, this kind of screenshot started circulating in video compilations dedicated to the fails and bizarre replies found on classifieds sites, a format that German internet users enjoyed for collecting absurd exchanges between amateur buyers and sellers.
