Where does the “Kohle, Kohle, Kohle” meme come from?
"Kohle Metal" is a heavily produced song performed by the creator or group Rahmschnitzel, featuring Gronkh, a German web video producer, gaming journalist, developer, voice actor, streamer, and entrepreneur widely followed in the German-speaking Let's Play community. The song won a jury prize in the Let's Play category at the Webvideopreis Deutschland, a German award ceremony recognizing the best internet video productions. Its repeated chorus, "Kohle, Kohle, Kohle", plays on the double meaning of the German word "Kohle" (coal, but also slang for money), and it stuck with viewers, staying associated with the Let's Play culture around mining and survival games.
