Where does the “Seven Phones for Geolier” meme come from?
Rita De Crescenzo, known for her dances and Neapolitan dialect songs followed by over a million and a half followers, filmed a video showing seven different phones used to vote for Geolier in Sanremo's public televote, promising to visit Secondigliano if he won. Geolier did win the public televote with 60% of the vote against Angelina Mango, and the practice of voting with multiple phones later raised questions about the reliability of the voting system.
