In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “Proizoshyol trolling” is a common card of the Russian Memes pack, number 189 of the collection, and the 132nd best-known meme of its 300 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “Proizoshyol trolling” meme mean?
The meme announces with the calm of an official report that a prank has landed. The first picture shows things in order, the second the same scene in disarray, distorted or wrecked. People use it to comment on a trap set for a friend, a ridiculous turnaround, or a letdown that one person carries alone.
Where does the “Proizoshyol trolling” meme come from?
The meme goes back to 2018 and circulates in the Runet. It is built as a diptych: on one side a normal state, on the other the result after the “trolling”, a phrase worded like an administrative notice. On YouTube, joke and meme compilations use the title “Произошёл троллинг”. The before-and-after can be applied to any picture, which explains its success: everyone builds their own distortion, and the bigger the contrast, the better the prank seems to have worked.
