What does the “Nan mais je hurle !!” meme mean?
The phrase is an over-the-top reaction: use it when news, a photo or a message sets off a fit of laughter or staged indignation. The opening “nan mais” launches the protest and the verb “hurler”, to scream, cranks up the intensity. It suits gossip among friends, reality-TV commentary or any moment where you want to overact an emotion with a smile.
Where does the “Nan mais je hurle !!” meme come from?
On YouTube, videos titled “Jeremstar SoundBox: je hurle” and “Je hurle 2” gather clips of Jeremstar, a well-known name of the French web and reality-TV scene. These short sounds were cut to be replayed in loops or dropped into edits. The line then spread on social networks through stickers, voice notes and captions. The pattern is a familiar one: a spontaneous scream that became a reference line. The pages checked give neither the date of the original scene nor the exact programme it came from.
