In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “Oskour” is a common card of the Memes FR pack, number 732 of the collection, and the 602nd best-known meme of its 869 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “Oskour” meme mean?
You use it when a situation is falling apart and you choose to laugh rather than manage it: a bug during a demo, a pile of laundry collapsing, a meeting going off the rails. The word is not really a request for help, it signals being overwhelmed. Its childish form matters: a real “au secours” would be alarming, while “oskour” stays a comic admission of panic. In French streaming communities it is also typed in capitals and in bursts in chat, as a collective reaction.
Where does the “Oskour” meme come from?
MisterMV is a French streamer and video maker, real name Xavier Dang, born on 26 August 1980 in Paris, known for live video-game broadcasts and for a very personal commentary vocabulary that his community has widely adopted. “Oskour” belongs to that repertoire: he throws it out during his runs, in the passages where everything on screen degrades, and compilations of those moments carried the word beyond his own audience. Accessible sources do not allow the first use to be dated, the originating broadcast to be identified, or his authorship to be confirmed: the mangling of “au secours” exists in spoken French and the spelling varies across reposts, between “oskour” and “oskuur”. The card lists 2021.
