What does the “Pilou le donateur fou” meme mean?
On French-speaking Twitch, donation trolling means paying real money just to needle a streamer with an absurd or provocative message read out loud on stream. Calling someone "Pilou the mad donor" praises a particularly bold or relentless donation style, one that can rattle even battle-hardened streamers. People reuse the phrase for anyone who piles up loud, calculated donations purely for comic effect, turning a chat tip into a mini-performance in front of the whole audience.
Where does the “Pilou le donateur fou” meme come from?
Pilou built his reputation around the streams of Thekairi78 (TK78), a French streamer known for his explosive reactions to outrageous donations. Highlight channels dedicated to him show live sessions where tips worth hundreds of euros trigger memorable outbursts. Pilou's name became attached to one particular recurring donor whose antics earned him the mad tag. His reputation later spread beyond TK78's channel, with mentions of his donations also surfacing around other French streaming figures such as Inoxtag, proof that the character turned into a shared comic reference rather than staying tied to a single channel.
