Where does the “Puta Falta de Sacanagem (F*cking Lack of Immorality)” meme come from?
The meme originates from an interview filmed on Wednesday, April 28, 2010, in São Paulo, outside a bookstore on Paulista Avenue. A signing session and concert by the Brazilian pop group Restart were canceled last minute. The bookstore cited safety concerns due to overwhelming crowd size. A Folha de S.Paulo crew filmed the chaos and interviewed frustrated young fans. Georgia Massa, then sixteen, broke down in tears before shouting this famous line. Although she intended to say "puta sacanagem," she added "falta" due to verbal confusion under stress. The video spread rapidly online, cementing the error as a cultural icon.
