In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “Rémi susceptible” is an epic card of the Memes FR pack, number 810 of the collection, and the 200th best-known meme of its 790 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “Rémi susceptible” meme mean?
Rémi comes out when somebody gets hurt over nothing: a joke taken badly, a small correction, a message read the wrong way. The meme is not about anger, which announces itself, but about the quiet offence that settles in and poisons a conversation. Calling someone Rémi tells them they are sulking; calling yourself Rémi defuses your own touchiness before anyone else names it.
Where does the “Rémi susceptible” meme come from?
The video went up on 15 March 2018 on “Les Bonus De Mister V”, the second channel of Yvick Letexier, under the title “MISTER V - REMI SUSCEPTIBLE”. It runs a little over a minute, is shot in black and white, straight to camera, in a bedroom where figurines are visible, and has passed 3.6 million views. The sketch kept travelling in fragments: the version circulating on TikTok today is a fan-account repost, seen more than 200,000 times, which brought the character to viewers who never saw the original.
