What does the “Saiko saiko” meme mean?
People shout "Saiko saiko" right after an unlikely play, an acrobatic goal, or a totally unexpected move, to amplify the excitement of the moment. Repeating the word adds a comic, almost chanted rhythm to the reaction, like a fan losing it over a sports highlight. The phrase works both when commenting on one's own game and when reacting to someone else's clip, whether shouted in the heat of the action or added later while rewatching the footage.
Where does the “Saiko saiko” meme come from?
The shout circulates in gameplay clips, particularly around Rocket League, where players react to a spectacular play by repeating the word in an excited tone. Its spelling, close to "psycho", suggests it describes a play seen as crazy or out of control, a phonetic twist typical of live reactions recorded during a match. The term spread through shared gameplay clips, where the vocal reaction accompanies the on-screen action and becomes a memorable part of the clip itself, later picked up by other players commenting on their own highlights.
