Where does the “That Is One Big Pile Of Shit” meme come from?
The line comes from the movie Jurassic Park, released on June 11, 1993. In this scene, Ian Malcolm, played by Jeff Goldblum, stands before a massive heap of feces near an enclosure. These are droppings attributed to a sick triceratops. Beside him, Ellie Sattler, played by Laura Dern, examines the matter to find the cause of the illness. The remark stands out for its brutal realism and lack of literary flair. The mathematician makes this statement with comedic neutrality, turning a scientific observation into a visual insult.
