In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “TK LE REQUIN” is a rare card of the Memes FR pack, number 2931 of the collection, and the 753rd best-known meme of its 3495 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “TK LE REQUIN” meme mean?
The shark is a symbol of dominance here: it glides calmly, impresses everyone and goes unchallenged. Calling someone “TK the shark” grants them that king-of-the-place aura, with a dash of mockery, since “king of the aquatic kingdom” sounds like a cartoon legend. Use it for the best in a group, a ruthless gamer, the friend who always dives into the pool first, or to puff yourself up.
Where does the “TK LE REQUIN” meme come from?
The meme pairs a name, TK, with the shark image and the line “le rois du royaume aquatique”, kept as written with its small grammar slip, which makes it feel spontaneous. What matters is the nickname mechanic, popular in French-speaking communities: a short handle, an animal, a sovereign’s title. The joke rests on the contrast between the announced grandeur and the plainness of the phrase. Anyone can make their own version by swapping the animal or the kingdom.
