In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “Un pain d'épice il parle avec moi normal” is an epic card of the Memes FR pack, number 1343 of the collection, and the 753rd best-known meme of its 3499 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “Un pain d'épice il parle avec moi normal” meme mean?
The meme gets its humor from the contrast between serious indignation (“that’s disrespectful”, “you’re annoying me”) and a completely absurd cause: a talking cookie. The shift to “I want to bite you” adds a hungry punchline that defuses the anger. People use it to dramatize a tiny annoyance, mock a disproportionate outburst, or answer a provocation by turning it into a joke. It also works as a funny exclamation in a message.
Where does the “Un pain d'épice il parle avec moi normal” meme come from?
The card gives the whole line, a string of short sentences: “C’est un manque de respect. Tu m’énerves. Un pain d’épice. J’ai envie de te croquer.” The character speaks to a gingerbread, recalling the gingerbread men of children’s tales who talk and get eaten. Cut from the video it came from, the extract circulates as a sound, a caption and a remix. The formula works as much through its choppy rhythm of short phrases as through the contrast between anger and appetite.
