In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “Uraken” is a common card of the Memes FR pack, number 4650 of the collection, and the 753rd best-known meme of its 3493 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “Uraken” meme mean?
People shout “Uraken” to announce a strike, a comeback or a joke they believe unbeatable, in the voice of a self-appointed martial arts master. It is funny because it mixes pride, accent and dubious technique. Among friends it ends a fake fight; under a video it salutes Johnny Cadillac’s energy. The solemner the announcement, the better the punchline lands.
Where does the “Uraken” meme come from?
On YouTube, several videos tie the Uraken to Johnny Cadillac: “L’URAKEN PRÉSENTÉ PAR JOHNNY CADILLAC”, “L’Uraken !!! Le Retour De Johnny Cadillac” and “Johnny Cadillac 34 face et Hurakan conseils bagarre”. One English title even speaks of the world’s fastest punch coming from Belgium. Those excerpts were picked up by meme channels, edits and comment sections, which turned the word into a rallying cry. Because these pages give no precise date for the original video, the card sticks to that lineage.
