What does the “Vas y ! Craque !” meme mean?
The phrase urges you to take the step, give in to temptation or try the experience, backed by an argument from experience: she has been there. The tone is that of a reassuring accomplice, a little pushy, and the misspelled “craques” adds to the spoken, spontaneous feel. People use it to nudge a friend into tasting a dish, buying an item, sending a message or taking on a challenge. By extension it encourages anyone who hesitates, saying everybody started the same way.
Where does the “Vas y ! Craque !” meme come from?
The line goes: “Vas y craques ! Mais n’aie pas peur enfin ! Moi aussi j’étais blanche au début !” It works like a short pep-talk, with its run of soothing orders and its unexpected punchline. Lifted out of its context, it travels as audio, caption or edit, and lends itself to endless remixes because it fits any kind of hesitation. People quote it in full or cut down to the first three words, which are enough to recognise it.
