“Allez, tajine!” meme: meaning, origin and rare card

What does the “Allez, tajine!” meme mean?

The meme turns the name of a Moroccan dish into a shout of encouragement: “allez, tajine!” works like “come on, let’s go!”, with a hint of appetite. The tone is joyful, communal and deliberately silly. People use it to invite everyone to dig in, to start a group activity, or to humorously mark a moment of sharing around food.

Where does the “Allez, tajine!” meme come from?

The spirit of the meme fits in three words: “Tagine for Everyone”. The expression circulates in short clips where the line is yelled with enthusiasm, then reused in captions, reactions and edits by French-speaking communities. Its strength lies in its rhythm, an encouraging interjection followed by a dish name, and in the good mood attached to it, which makes it easy to adapt to any meal or friendly challenge.

The reprint of the “Allez, tajine!” card

The “Allez, tajine!” card was reprinted as Epic (No. 2,078). A reprint is the same meme printed again, with a number of its own and a higher rarity than its first printing, which was rare. Its face reads “Reprinted card · Higher rarity”.

Every printing is dealt in the packs of the Memes FR pack, each at its own rarity: the higher it is, the rarer the card is to pull. Copies of the first printing already pulled stay as they are, and any printing counts toward completing a set.

MyMemeCards reprints a meme when it deserves more than the rarity of its first printing, such as a classic that became iconic after it came out: the reprint gives it a place among the most sought-after cards without taking anything from the players who already had it.
