In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “Bonjour petite abeille” is a common card of the Memes FR pack, number 832 of the collection, and the 793rd best-known meme of its 869 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “Bonjour petite abeille” meme mean?
The joke is in who gets addressed: you speak to the bee, not to the person inside it, and that is the whole gag. It welcomes a ridiculous entrance without mocking it head-on, in the voice you would use with a child in costume. In a chat it also works to signal that you have recognised someone behind a silly handle or avatar. The register stays fond, since the bee is a mascot and never a target.
Where does the “Bonjour petite abeille” meme come from?
ZEvent 2024 ran from 6 to 8 September in Montpellier and raised 10,145,881 euros for Secours populaire français, Cop1, Les Bureaux du Cœur, Solidarité Paysans and Chapitre 2. On the evening of 6 September the event’s official account posted a clip captioned “L’incroyable introduction d’Antoine Daniel pour ce #ZEVENT2024”: the streamer walking through the hall in a full-body bee suit. The next day his clips channel uploaded the same moment as “L’arrivée EXTRAORDINAIRE d’Antoine dans son costume d’abeille”. The greeting itself is attested by no source we could consult: it would have come out of the chat messages under that costume, and that is the basis on which it appears here.
