In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “Chirac-Sama, Hokage de France” is a common card of the Memes FR pack, number 840 of the collection, and the 858th best-known meme of its 869 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “Chirac-Sama, Hokage de France” meme mean?
The edit works by taking an absurd comparison seriously: the French Republic narrated in the vocabulary of a ninja manga, where the head of state becomes a Hokage and his prime minister the right hand. It is affectionate mockery, the kind forums now describe as aura. People bring it back out when a politician does something unusually theatrical, or to talk about a head of state as a fictional character, without making any claim about their record.
Where does the “Chirac-Sama, Hokage de France” meme come from?
The picture is an amateur edit of the kind French forums produce and repost endlessly; the copy kept for this card is hosted on Noelshack, the image host attached to the jeuxvideo.com boards. Research turned up no author, no first posting and no date: the file simply travels from thread to thread, and no web encyclopedia has a page for it. The card therefore leaves its year empty rather than guessing one, and the reliability of this article is low. What is certain is only what the image shows: two figures of French politics from the 1995-2007 period drawn as manga characters.
