In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “Dégâts dégâts” is a legendary card of the Memes FR pack, number 1304 of the collection, and the 753rd best-known meme of its 3496 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “Dégâts dégâts” meme mean?
The repetition does the work: saying “damage” twice turns a minor incident into a disaster, announced with a straight face. Paired with “Madam Director”, it sounds like a report delivered to an authority figure. In chats it exaggerates a tiny problem, fakes panic, or teases someone who overreacts. The humour sits in the gap between the official tone and the triviality of the damage.
Where does the “Dégâts dégâts” meme come from?
The line circulates as an audio clip and a title reposted by internet users, in which a voice addresses a headmistress to report repeated damage. Its strength is rhythm: two identical words, a formal greeting and a serious delivery. It spread through messaging apps and short edits, used as a sound effect or reaction caption. It adapts easily because it fits any small disaster of daily life, such as a spilled glass, a delay or a broken object.
