Where does the “Doigby Guerrier” meme come from?
Doigby, born Selim Akin in Paris in 1991, came up through esports and League of Legends before becoming one of France’s best-known streamers. On 29 October 2015 he released the official music video for “Guerrier” on YouTube, describing it as a tribute to the 2015 League of Legends World Championship, to Fnatic and to their captain Bora “YellOwStaR” Kim, and crediting the “Warriors” instrumental by Imagine Dragons. The song sat alongside his other tracks such as “Rends l’argent” and later “Battle Royale”. It grew into a community classic: he performed it at ZEvent, a clip shows rapper GIMS reacting to it live, and in January 2025 he sang the “Tu es capable” chorus to a full stadium during AmineMaTue’s Stream for Humanity.
