What does the “En string wshh ?” meme mean?
Saying “en string, WSHH?” mocks an outfit or attitude seen as over the top by comparing it to the kind of scene that would end up shared on WorldStarHipHop, a platform tied to sensational videos. The tone stays light and ironic: it is used among friends to tease an extravagant look or behavior, pretending the scene is about to go viral on that specific site, known for this kind of content since the mid-2000s.
Where does the “En string wshh ?” meme come from?
WorldStarHipHop is an American video site founded by Lee “Q” O'Denat, known for sharing music clips but mostly viral street footage, fights, and unusual scenes. Its WSHH abbreviation became, in internet culture, a shorthand for any filmed scene deemed worthy of appearing on it. Pairing it with the word “string” reuses that same logic to mock an outfit seen as over the top, twisting the platform's name into a joke about appearance rather than violent or unusual content.
