What does the “HOOO LE CAILLOUUUU” meme mean?
The meme runs on disproportion: swooning theatrically over a pebble, which is to say almost nothing. People use it to mock over-the-top enthusiasm, to react to an insignificant find or to laugh at a friend dramatizing a minor detail. The elongated vowels matter, because they carry the emphasis and the deliberate naivety of the scene.
Where does the “HOOO LE CAILLOUUUU” meme come from?
The clip features someone who exaggerates so much that it becomes funny. The cry spread as a short clip, reused for its overblown staging: a tone of wonder at a simple pebble, held for several seconds. It then settled in as a way to react, in writing and out loud, to disproportionate enthusiasm.
