In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “I'm not a beginner, I'm a professional” is a rare card of the Memes FR pack, number 2284 of the collection, and the 753rd best-known meme of its 3500 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “I'm not a beginner, I'm a professional” meme mean?
The sentence announces skill with zero modesty. The speaker rejects the label of newcomer and declares herself a pro, in a tone that is far too solemn for the situation, and that gap is the joke. Francophone users post it to brag about a small everyday talent, to answer someone who underestimates them, or to tease a friend who is a bit too sure of themselves. It also suits a simple win in a video game, a recipe or a tidying session told as if it deserved a diploma.
Where does the “I'm not a beginner, I'm a professional” meme come from?
The line is credited to Morgane Makeup, a French influencer, in a TikTok video later relayed by meme channels. Uploads titled “Je suis pas débutante je suis professionnelle Morgane makeup” carried the clip onto YouTube, alongside meme compilations devoted to the creator. The word “professionnelle” also became a refrain in her music videos, including “CarWash Professionnelle” and “Shatta Professionnelle”, which kept the phrase alive. Cut loose from its context, it is reused in comments, captions and as a sound for edits, anywhere someone wants to announce their own competence with mock gravity.
